What the job is

On the decks and the mic

Using music and the mic to entertain crowds is an incredible way to make money. We teach you everything you need to become a rockstar.

On site early

Arrive 2 hours before an event starts to set up equipment, sound check and test. Out an hour after the last song.

Planning with your client

Planning with a client is another skill that sets our brand apart. We are great at leading events and it all starts here.

Backup is on call

Every event date has a backup DJ scheduled in case of an emergency, so you are never the only plan. Some weekends you get scheduled for that role yourself.

How an event works

Assignment to event day

01 120 days out

You are assigned to events about 120 days before they happen, around your schedule.

02 90 days out

You meet your client.

03 Two calls

You have two calls with them while they fill out their planning forms.

04 Event day

You prep and plan the day with them, then go rock a party.

No subcontractors, ever

Most companies source out DJs. We hire people and teach them the rest, which means the two people below are the ones you learn from.

01 Hiring for character

Character comes before anything else. Skill can be taught. Being good with people cannot.

02 Assist first

You learn events from the inside as an assistant: load-ins, timelines, what goes wrong and how it gets fixed. You are paid for those events.

03 DJ school, then mentoring

Sixteen to twenty weeks, a hybrid online program plus in-person DJ University at our warehouse, on the same gear that goes out to events. Mentoring continues after you graduate.

Sound, lighting, booths and backup. You do not buy anything to start, and you are never the reason the music stops.

You set your availability and we’ll staff you on events based on that.

How hiring works

Four steps

01 Apply

You fill out the form for the role you want. A few questions, no cover letter, and no resume unless you want to send one.

02 Tasks by email

Our hiring team emails you tasks to complete. Follow the directions in those emails, and you will see the kind of work the job involves.

03 Online interview

An online interview with the hiring team.

04 In person

An in-person round, so you meet the people you would actually be working with.
